Of the 60,930 people aged 15 years and over in the Outer South-East Region, 7,582 people (12.4%) had obtained a bachelor degree since leaving school and 8,565 people (14.1%) had a trade certificate. A further 1,403 people (2.3%) had a postgraduate degree.

Stretton-Karawatha had the highest proportion of people with a postgraduate degree (3.3%) and with a bachelor degree (15.3%).

Trade certificates had been awarded to 15.8% of the population aged 15 years and over in Kuraby (the highest proportion of any SLA in the Outer South-East Region) but only 10.5% in Stretton-Karawatha.
