In the Outer South-East Region, exactly one-third of employed people (11,764 people) were professionals or associate professionals and a further 19.0% (6,707 people) were employed as intermediate clerical and service workers. Elementary clerical and service workers accounted for 11.0% (3,880 people), trades and related occupations for 10.3% (3,644 people), and managers and administrators for 7.2% (2,544 people).

In the Outer South-East Region, Mount Gravatt had the highest proportion of people employed as professionals and associate professionals (38.8%). Runcorn had the highest proportion of people employed as intermediate clerical and service workers (20.3%).

In Rochedale, 19.3% of employed people were managers and administrators and, in Mansfield, 12.4% were elementary clerical and service workers.

Upper Mount Gravatt had the highest proportion of people employed in trades and related occupations (12.0%).
