In the Outer South-East Region, there were 10,631 occupied private dwellings (39.1% of dwellings) with one vehicle parked on Census night 2001 and 9,733 dwellings (35.8%) with two vehicles parked. A further 2,139 dwellings (7.9%) were without vehicles and 3,541 (13.0%) had three or more vehicles parked.

Mount Gravatt (16.4%) had the highest proportion of dwellings without a vehicle parked. The highest proportion of dwellings with one vehicle parked was in Runcorn (43.2%).

In six of the SLAs in the Outer South-East Region, more than half the dwellings had two or more vehicles parked on Census night, the highest proportion being 73.0% in Stretton-Karawatha.
