In the Outer North-East Region, there were 10,181 occupied private dwellings (44.3%) with one vehicle parked on Census night 2001 and 6,925 dwellings (30.1%) with two vehicles parked. In addition, 2,636 dwellings (11.5% of occupied private dwellings) had no vehicles parked, and 2,053 dwellings (8.9%) had three or more vehicles parked.

In Boondall, 35.1% of dwellings had two vehicles parked on Census night and, in Nudgee Beach, 17.9% of the dwellings had three or more vehicles parked.

Sandgate was the SLA with the highest percentage of dwellings without a vehicle in 2001 (19.9%).
